Rachelle and Gordy’s wedding embodied their personalities to a tee. Rachelle, a nature lover and advocate, was so excited to find the venue along Deer Creek in Street, Md. When I arrived the day of the ceremony, I knew right away it was the perfect location for her and Gordy to tie the knot.
The wedding was a flawless and stunning DIY wedding with their touches in every single detail including an amazing Cheese & Charcuterie Board and a fantastic New Orleans-themed reception.
The love they have for one another is so sweet to watch and it just glows through the photos captured during their special day.
After putting Meacreations Photography on pause for a few years as I moved back to the Philadelphia area and pursued communications in other forms, I’m super excited to say that Meacreations is back to photograph weddings, events, and portraits in the Philadelphia area – but I’m not opposed to travelling, either 🙂
After 10 years, Meacreations was due for a branding refresh. “Made with Love” – my new tagline – embodies what I believe makes my photos touch people’s souls. The love is already there, the photo just captures it in its purest form.
I also want to give a shout out and a big thank you to those who have continued to support my photography throughout 10 years – it has meant the world to me, and I truly couldn’t have made it this far without you.
When I first started Meacreations, it was just after my own wedding, and it was quite by accident. Friends and family had trust in my photography hobby and started to ask me to take photos for them – and soon other people started. I accidentally had fallen into my very own photography business, and it was my very first baby. I nourished it, as one nourishes a child. I put hours of love into marketing myself, building my brand, shooting, and working on presentation afterward. I spent countless hours on my photography – and the hard work continued to pay off.
When I had my first child, Audrey, I was thankful for the opportunity to stay home with her and watch her grow and spend that one-on-one time with her.
Now, 7 years later, Katelen has arrived and I am excited to spend this time with her watching her grow – and capturing it on film (well, mostly digitally) just as I did and continue to do for Audrey.
I was very blessed this year. Not only with great shoots and people I have met, but also with being pregnant with my husband and my first child! With the expected arrival date of December 8th, I wasn’t even thinking that I’s spend my Thanksgiving in the hospital! Little Audrey entered into the world on November 21st after a very long labor/ c-section. We couldn’t be happier!
Of course, I started her on photo shoots right away! Enjoy a few below.
Happy Holidays to all, and thank you for a great year!!!
Had a beautiful Chirtmas wedding yesterday at the Southern Mansion in Cape May with Melissa & Steve. From the time I met Melissa & Steve I knew it would be a stunning wedding. Melissa has such style and Steve is so kind – perfect combination for photos! As per Melissa’s request, I will not put more of the photos up until she has seen them. But here is a sneak peak:
Due to this Nor’easter that is taking over the North East, my husband Nik and I decided to come up to Philly a day over and stay the night over at my parents ‘ house to get a head start tomorrow in order to catch our flight tomorrow evening.
I have decided to start blogging today because I found that I am interested in showing many new projects I am working on. Check back here periodically to see updates and photos you might not see on my regualr website.
With in the last two weeks, I did a fun beach wedding with Amy & Nathan and also a portrait session with Mother and Son Chadina and Jacob. Here are some photos from each shoot:
